UPDATED 9 AUGUST 2021

On 6 August 2021, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced a calibrated easing of safe management measures (SMMs) in two stages from 10 August 2021 and 19 August 2021. 

​

Following the announcement, Sport Singapore is providing guidance regarding the SMMs concerning all sports and physical exercises & activities, and public & private sports & recreational facilities in Singapore for the period 10 August 2021 onwards.

1. What is the difference between vaccinated and non vaccinated class environment?

We are working towards a mask off and safe environment for our members and teachers during the yoga practice.

A fully vaccinated class will have "VAC" indication behind the class name, which participants can mask off and use of common props in studio.

For classes without "VAC" indication behind the class name, will be conducted as a regular class with mask on and no common props to be provided. Participants have to BYO props.

2. What is vaccination-differentiated Safe Management Measures (SMM) and where is it applicable at?
 

As fully vaccinated individuals have better protection against infection and severe illness, fully vaccinated individuals may participate in activities in high-risk settings (unmasked activities that take place indoors1) from 10 August 2021. The group size can go up to 5 individuals (including instructor / coach) in multiple groups of 5, up to 30 pax or the capacity limit of the venue, whichever is lower.

Unvaccinated individuals with a valid negative result on a Pre-Event Test taken in the past 24 hours at an MOH-approved medical service provider before the expected end of the class/programme/event, or recovered COVID-19 individuals, are of similarly lower risk, and may also join in the group of fully vaccinated individuals.

3. What does fully vaccinated individual mean?
 

An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after he or she has received two 2 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech/ Comirnaty, Moderna, or any WHO EUL vaccines.

​

Unvaccinated individuals with a valid negative result on a Pre-Event Test taken in the past 24 hours at an MOH-approved medical service provider before the expected end of the class/programme/event, or recovered COVID-19 individuals, are of similarly lower risk, and may also join in the group of fully vaccinated individuals.

4. How do I check my vaccine status?

8. I am partially vaccinated, can I attend VAC class with my mask on?

 

In line with government guidelines Vaccination-Differentiated regulations, you are not be allow attend the class. Unless you have a PET negative result taken in the past 24 hours before the class end, or you are recovered COVID-19 individuals.

9. What should I bring along to studio when I attend VAC class?

​

  • Proof of your Covid vaccine.

  • Proof of you have recovered from COVID-19 (The validity of your exemption period will be 270 days from the date of your first PCR positive result.)

  • Valid Pre-Event Test Results

10. What are the new house rules?

​

  • Arrive at least 15 mins before for checking protocol. (Persons who fail to have their status verified will be denied participation in class).

  • Must  have your vaccination status checked and recorded on the paper at reception.

  • Leave the studio immediately after your class and are not allowed to not stay in the studio for more than 15 mins after your class.

  • You must keep your mask on at all times until the class starts.

11. If I arrive in studio and realised that is a fully vaccinated class, I'm not any of the vaccination-differentiated categorycan I attend with my mask on?

 

No. You are not allow to join in the class.

​

12. Can I eat and drink within the premise? 

 

Food and drink must not be supplied or consumed within the activity area, except if the consumption of a drink is necessary to preserve life or prevent injury in an emergency.

​

13. What are the social distance guidelines?

​

Physical distancing between individuals exercising should be at least 2 metres.

A 3-metre physical distancing between different groups must be maintained at all times.

There shall be no intermingling between groups before, during and after classes.

​

​

14. Can I use the toilets in studio?

​

Individuals should not intermingle with others and linger within the facilities. Masks must be worn when one is changing in and out of one’s sport attire. If a mask is removed during shower or face-washing, it is to be worn promptly after. Changing rooms and toilets must be closed off if individuals cannot comply with these SMMs.
